Information obtained through an interview process is converted into map features. Lakes, mountains, deserts, swamps, forests, jungles, hills, streams and rivers, highways, businesses, etc., become the vehicles to illustrate the life events.

In this sample, the boxes represent the interview data. Follow the arrows to see how each story became a feature on the map:

Geoffrey loves his cat, Garbo, and has arranged for Garbo to be taken care of if anything happens to Geoffrey.

Geoffrey had two cats from the same litter and took them for counseling because they didn't get along. He said he was the one who got the counseling.

He loves Barbra Streisand and has traveled to see her in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

He is well known for his lack of driving abillity; he once almost killed his boss, Ann.

A group of regional managers went out to dinner one night, then couldn't find their car. Their comment to each other was, "And we run regions?"

Whenever he travels on business, he always has to stop at a store and buy some spray starch so he can iron his shirts at the hotel.

Geoffrey is very competitive; to get the advantage during a scavenger hunt, he told two co-workers that their boss wanted to see them in another part of the office.
